Sol is a self-taught market guru, having read widely conventional and non-conventional texts on all aspects of technical analysis and market timing. He graduated college with 2 full majors and one minor. His majors were Economics and Psychology and his minor was in Sociology. This has led to his conviction that Mass Psychology concepts are important investment tools.

He has been studying the markets for over11 years and trading professionally
for clients and his own account for over nine. He specializes in mass psychology, technical analysis and a new field of study that he has pioneered, Esoteric Cycle Analysis. In addition, he combines multiple time frame analysis with standard deviation analysis in a unique way to help determine market tops and bottoms.  The traders who have heeded his predictions have profited greatly from their accuracy.

When it comes to technical analysis, he has his own method of applying tools.  For example, he never uses standard settings.  Sometimes he will use technical analysis tools to take readings from a contrarain perspective. Sol has created all the timing models used at the Tactical Investor.  He is an expert when it comes to creating models. He is also an options authority and has designed the OEX Timer System that has had an 80% win rate, which is very rare for any options system.

Sol really cares about people and helping them win at trading and investing.
It is evident from his articles that he encourages them to learn and think for themselves but is expert at guiding them along their path to great financial gains. His philanthropic activities include the funding of a clinic and children’s center in the Ukraine and doing volunteer work at a center in his hometown, New York City.

Tom is an active trader with over 40 years of experience.  His specialty is locating small cap stocks that have unique patterns and are poised to explode upwards. He is also very knowledgeable in the area of sector analysis and combines his special skills with Sol’s Esoteric Cycle Analysis to find all the small cap picks for the VIP Small Cap Service. 

TACTICAL TRACEY
 

Tracey is an experienced investor and trader with over 20 years of experience in practical financial matters as well as technical and fundamental analysis. 

A retired insurance executive, her job involved helping people for many years.
Her investment specialty was industry (i.e. semiconductors) and index (SPX) sector funds for many years. When ETF’s (electronically traded funds) were introduced in the late 90’s she became expert in them as well.
 
She maintains a trading account, a long-term portfolio, and her own accounts at two  popular sector fund families.  For the last two years she has been living solely on her investment gains and has been able to postpone drawing on her pension.  How many people can do that?  We only pick the best.

In last five years she has been picking individual stocks and dabbling in options.  She is   continually learning to keep up to date. Being widely read, she has knowledge of and has sampled every investment vehicle available.  She knows which investments to avoid, when to avoid them, and most importantly: how to make your money grow in a safe way that will let you sleep at night.

With her years of experience in tax-deferred investing, (IRAs, 401Ks, etc) and their tax implications, estate planning, insurance and income taxes, as well as the many other challenges individual investors face, she adds a personal finance perspective to the more mathematically minded men on our staff.
